Located in Radford, VA, the university bears the name of the small town that serves it. Located less than 15 miles south of Blacksburg, Radford was once the Women's Division of Virginia Tech. Today, Radford University is a coeducational, comprehensive institution of nearly 10,000 students.

Most students live in on-campus residence halls or in off-campus housing within walking distance of the university. The close relationship between the school and the town makes Radford an ideal college community.
